I♥Faces: Week 12
Pouting...
All children do this at some point in their lives. Many children become experts at pouting. Tristan is certainly good at pouting when he doesn't get his way. But looking through my pictures, I couldn't find any pouty pictures of him. So, I looks to see if Melayna, my almost six month old, had any pouty faces (even though at this age it isn't the same type of pouting, I think).
This week has no adult entry, but rather a pet entry. We had a dog named Samantha. I had her since high school. After Tristan was born, she started to show some bits of jealousy. So, we had to give her away - fortunately to a very good home. She was my puppy-dog and I loved her to bits. She had cateracts so her eyes were clouded over. But that didn't stop this dog from absolutely loving to play fetch.
Now, head on over to ihearfaces.blogspot.com and try it out for yourself. Or at least go check out the rest of the pouty faces. :)

Anyway, Melayna has really become attached to us. She has also started up a bit of stranger anxiety. When I was at Ari's birthday party two weekends ago, a friend wanted to hold Melayna. So, she held her. At first, Melayna was fine - I think she was mostly oblivious to a "stranger" holding her. Then she became aware. Then she looked at Scott and I imploringly. And then....the face. Why, Mommy? Why, Daddy? Why don't you hold me? Hold me now or else I will throw a fit and cry until you do.

Aren't we terrible? Our children put their best pout on (for our love, cuddles, and attention) and we grab our cameras! ;) I know I do. I know about puppy love too. I remember telling people that my dog (prior to children) WAS my child. Then, my baby came home from the hospital, and the dog jumped all over it. The dog learned he was a dog (not a child) pretty quick. Great shots!
that is a serious pout, too cute!! and such a funny dog!!
I always loved that little look they would get when the stranger anxiety set in. (Is that mean?). Very cute dog, too.
